I love these Megan Rapinoe Nike cleats
United States Womens National Team star Megan Rapinoe not only took home the Ballon d’Or for the best women’s soccer player in the world this week after leading her team to another World Cup trophy over the summer, but Nike also released a sweet pair of cleats in honor of her.
The cleats that Nike created for Rapinoe is a Mercurial Vapor 13 Elite FG and yes the photo above is what they look like. It’s a beautiful boot that features Rapinoe’s first name on the side in gold. Also as you can see, they’re pink, which is the same pink as her hair color.
The inside of each cleat features the words “Just Do It” in gold. You can see more photos on footwearnews.com. The back heels have four gold stars, representing the USMNT’s four World Cup trophies.
Unfortunately, you or your kids will not be able to get your hands on these special edition cleats since they will not be sold in stores, according to Nike. I would love to wear these on the field.
Despite the fact that Rapinoe is 34 years-old and will be 38 when the next women’s World Cup rolls around, I got a feeling that she will play a big part in their effort to bring home a fifth title back to the United States. She was amazing this past summer after scoring six goals in five matches along with three assists.
