7 soccer tips for new and experienced players

These soccer tips will help you improve steadily

The game of soccer is a simple game that anyone at any age can pick up and learn. With that being said, as a professional coach, I’ve compiled a list of some soccer tips for any player, whether you’re new or experienced.

Work on your dribbling

Whether you’re a new or experienced player, one of the most important things that any player should practice is their dribbling or their on the ball skills. This is my number one soccer tip for any player because the more confident you are on the ball, the easier it will be for you to get around opposing players and retain the ball when someone challenges you.

As a player you should work on dribbling with both feet using the inside and outside of your foot as well as the laces on your soccer cleats to dribble.

Don’t be hard on yourself

You’re not going to be perfect and unfortunately you never will. But you can strive for perfection. It’s very important though to not be hard on yourself because that will only cause you to lose confidence. That takes me into my next soccer tip.

Believe in yourself

You have to believe in yourself. If you don’t it will only hold you back as a player. Belief alone can help raise your on the field skill and performance.

Work on your passing

As important as dribbling is, passing is just about as important. If you don’t have anyone to pass to in order to practice, find a wall or even a wooden board that you can use to pass to because the ball will bounce right back to you.

Be patient

You’re not going to become a great soccer player over night. If you’re patient and work hard every day your hard work will pay off. But you have to be willing to wait for the results just like anything in life.

Challenge yourself

If you want to try and speed up growth as a soccer player, my next soccer tip is top make sure you’re challenging yourself. Whether it’s playing a game of 1v1 against a better player or creating drills that will put your skills to the test.

Have fun

The most important soccer tip that I have for you is to have fun. If you’re not having fun and enjoying yourself than you’re wasting your time.
